According to Sunday Alabi of the National Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union, fuel will be delivered to some stations on August 6, 2022, on Saturday.
Speaking on Joy FM's Top Story on Friday, he predicted that all gas stations would have fuel in their storage tanks by the latest on Monday, August 8, 2022.
From tomorrow to Monday, things will return to normal, he said.
After the Tanker Drivers Association went on strike, there is now a fuel scarcity. Despite the strike being put on hold, drivers are still having trouble finding fuel since oil marketing companies are out of supply.
Some of the drivers have unsuccessfully checked up to five gas stations.
In response to these worries, Mr. Alabi stated, "After the meeting, we asked our guys to go back on their trucks because we love to work for the country and the people."
They are driving their trucks as we speak. Some of them have completed loading, and others will do so by 6:00 p.m. tomorrow, when some of the stations will start receiving fuel, he continued.
He said "we have some of the depots in Kumasi, Takoradi and Buipe in the Northern Region so they started working today therefore some of them would also have their fuel by tomorrow" after being questioned if the deadline was realistic.
