The telecommunications provider with the largest market share in Ghana is advising subscribers in a text message to get ready for the rising costs for internet data.
“Dear Valued Customer, kindly be informed that effective 14th November 2022, data bundle prices will be revised upwards,” MTN said in a text broadcast to its customers on Thursday, November 10, 2022.

MTN did not specify the cause of the upcoming hike in data fees or by what percentage, but it is not the only company to have raised the cost of its services.
Christians will have to pay extra to purchase the Bible starting on Thursday, November 10, 2022, as the Bible Society of Ghana has announced an increase in costs.
The decision to raise the price of the Bible was motivated, so the organization claims, by significant inflation and the high cost of clearing at the ports.
The society's administration asked users to understand the situation in a notice that was placed on its Facebook page, claiming that it was out of their hands.
"Starting on November 10, 2022, our rates for Bibles will be somewhat revised increased due to the high rate of inflation and high cost of clearance from the ports. The notice says, "God bless you for your wisdom.
Due to the current extreme economic difficulties, prices of all goods and services have risen astronomically across the country.
The government is banking its debt because it cannot pay both its internal and external obligations.
