Nana Asiamah Hanson, a contentious entertainment figure also known as Bulldog, was fined GH48,000 for making threats against President Akufo-Addo on the Menzgold Incident.

Bulldog was brought before a judge in 2021 after saying in an interview on UTV that President Nana Addo Akufo-Addo would not complete his four-year term if Menzgold clients weren't paid.

The well-known artist manager was accused of disturbing the peace and rude behavior.

Bulldog pleaded not guilty to the allegation throughout the two-year trial, adamant that he had never intended to threaten the president. He asserted that his request to the President was made only in the interest of Menzgold's clients.
However, Justice Evelyn Asamoah, who presided over the case, emphasized in her ruling that given the gravity of the comment, it was not an appeal.

The artist management must pay the GH48,000 fine or serve 40 days in jail as punishment if they fail to do so.
