Four days after an earthquake devastated a major portion of the country's border with Syria, rescuers in southern Turkey pulled a 10-year-old kid from a collapsed home.
The boy had been trapped under the rubble in the town of KahramanmaraÅŸ for more than 100 hours.
In support of the rescue efforts, the Israel Defense Force (IDF) tweeted on Friday.
The youngster received "lifesaving medical treatment during the rescue and was subsequently brought to a hospital for further medical treatment," according to the IDF.
Israel has sent around 380 assistance personnel, including medics, nurses, and doctors, to Turkey as part of a relief effort.
The Israeli soldiers opened a field hospital in KahramanmaraÅŸ on Friday morning.
